Pokémon Pokopia is running a limited-time event that adds Feebas and Milotic to the game, Polygon reported. The Fetch Scales for Feebas event asks players to collect Prism Scales and hand them to Feebas in exchange for seasonal furniture and decorations.
The event is open to every player. According to Polygon, it does not require access to Bubbly Basin or the Cloud Islands, and it begins by speaking to Feebas, who appears in front of any completed Pokémon Center. The furniture set awarded through the exchange is the same set needed to build the habitat that draws Feebas and Milotic to the player's island, which is how both Pokémon enter the Pokédex.
Arriving alongside the first expansion
The event runs next to Bubbly Basin, the first instalment of a three-part Pokopia expansion pass. Polygon reported that Bubbly Basin launches Aug. 5 alongside a free update, and that the free portion teaches players the move Dive, allowing them to breathe and build underwater. The paid portion adds Bubbly Basin itself, a new town, and a deep-sea area populated by sea creatures, along with furniture sets designed for underwater decorating.
Players who skip the expansion still receive water-themed furniture through the Feebas event, Polygon reported. Once the event's game files are added in a patch, players will be able to fast travel to the event and start it early.
Five months after launch
Pokopia arrived roughly five months ago and pairs Pokémon with cozy building, tasking players with constructing habitats for individual Pokémon and rebuilding areas of the map. Polygon reported that many players consider the base game finished by this point, and framed the expansion pass and the accompanying event as the reason to return.
Polygon did not report an end date for the Fetch Scales for Feebas event beyond describing it as limited-time and summer-themed.
