Pokémon Pokopia's second expansion received a new trailer during the September 9 Nintendo Direct, showing some of the Pokémon it adds to the game, Video Games Chronicle reported.
The trailer showed Skitty, Doduo and Braixen. Because every Pokémon included in Pokopia comes with the rest of its evolution line, Delcatty, Dodrio, Fennekin and Delphox will also be part of the DLC, which brings the number of Pokémon confirmed for the expansion to seven.
According to VGC, the second expansion appears to focus on new costumes and accessories for Pokémon already in the base game, and it will not add any new areas. That sets it apart from the game's first expansion, Bubbly Basin, which added a new area and around 50 new Pokémon.
In August, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company confirmed that the Switch 2 exclusive had sold more than 5 million copies since its release in March, a figure VGC said already makes it one of the best-selling spin-offs in the Pokémon series.
Pokopia was developed mainly by Koei Tecmo's Omega Force team, led by the directors behind the sandbox game Dragon Quest Builders 2, and was released as a Game Key Card, which is a digital download code on a physical game card. VGC's own review called Pokopia "Pokémon's best spin-off".
