Post Malone used his $2 million Magic: The Gathering card, The One Ring, in a real match, according to Polygon. The musician bought the card in 2023 and recently played it during a Commander match on The Command Zone’s Game Knights.
The card, which is a one-of-one serialized 001/001 version, was removed from its protective case and used as intended, Polygon reported. High-value trading cards are typically kept graded and protected to preserve their condition.
The One Ring card plays like the more common versions, granting protection from everything until the player’s next turn, then allowing the player to draw cards at the cost of accumulating burden counters, according to Polygon.
