Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has been added to the GOG Preservation Program, according to Polygon. The program, launched in 2024, aims to preserve the availability and compatibility of classic video games on modern and future PCs.
As part of the program, the game has received several updates, including widescreen and ultrawide display support, customizable camera scaling, and the ability to choose a preferred frame rate, as announced by GOG in a press release.
These updates address the challenges of running the 2003 classic on modern hardware, which previously required frustrating workarounds due to physics and display issues.
