Sharks' Counter-Strike 2 roster now competes as DENDELE, following a partnership between the Brazilian organization and the Kings League side of the same name, HLTV reported.
DENDELE plays in the Kings League, the seven-a-side football competition established in 2022 by former footballer Gerard Piqué. Under the agreement the Counter-Strike team adopts the DENDELE tag, and both organizations' social media profiles were renamed.
A rebrand between campaigns
The switch landed between two tournament runs. The roster played the IEM Cologne Major still carrying the Sharks name, exiting Stage 1 with a 1-3 record, and had already qualified for BLAST Open Porto, scheduled to begin at the end of August.
HLTV reported at the time that the squad's first outing under the new name would come at BLAST Bounty, against FURIA in the opening round.
The roster
- Victor "gafolo" Andrade
- João "koala" Pfeffer
- Máximo "maxxkor" Cortina
- Daniel "rdnzao" Monteiro
- Danilo "doc" Barros
- Hélder "coachi" Sancho (coach)
HLTV's report detailed no changes to the lineup itself: the partnership concerns the name the team competes under rather than its personnel.
