Full Circle has detailed Season 5 of Skate., its early access multiplayer skating sandbox, and dated it for Tuesday, September 8. The season had already been pushed back by a couple of weeks so the studio could adjust progression and rewards, and MassivelyOP reports that the delay covered a wider set of additions than the schedule change alone had suggested.
A mountain location built around big air
The season's headline addition is S.U.M.R. Camp Mega Park, a mountain destination the studio describes as built around big air, high speed and a large supply of ramps intended to get players as vertical as possible. As with earlier locations, it opens at the start of the season to players who buy into the paid battle pass, with wider open access following mid-season.
Underflips, footplants and permanent block parties
On the trick side, Season 5 introduces underflips in sixteen variations, alongside changes to pumping and footplants that Full Circle says are meant to make those moves feel smoother. Four new footplants are being added for players who want to keep a line going on flat ground.
The block party feature the studio tested recently becomes a permanent fixture with the season. Four different types of block party will be available, each supporting sessions of up to 150 players.
Beyond the new location and the trick list, Season 5 carries a progression overhaul. Full Circle is converting the game's tasks into a set of bounties that can be repeated, and says mission variety is being widened across the sandbox.
- Tasks become repeatable bounties rather than one-off objectives
- More mission variety across the game
- Adjusted neighborhood progression, with additional rewards for players who have already maxed out a neighborhood
- A new battle pass and cosmetics themed on big air, bringing in additional skating brands
Season 5 goes live on Tuesday, September 8.
