According to Wowhead, the first secret of Patch 12.1 has been found by the WoW Secret Finding & Collections Discord, who discovered the Slitherfang pet inside the Altar of Fangs. The pet, described as tenacious, fierce, and adorable, can be obtained by completing a special ritual inside the Mythic difficulty version of the new dungeon.
As reported by Wowhead, finding the Slitherfang pet requires a full group of five players to complete the ritual. The process involves players finding interactable objects around the poison waterfalls near Rav'i, with one player picking up a Ritual Reagent and the other four taking Reversal Charms. After clearing the dungeon's second boss, the players must stand on specific locations and use the Reagent and Charms to transform an Ascendent Serpent into a large version of Slitherfang.
Wowhead credits Bellzzar for the discovery and explanation of the ritual. The Slitherfang pet can be obtained by all players in the group who complete the ritual, although they will not receive any loot from bosses. The discovery of the Slitherfang pet is a significant find for the WoW community, and players can now work to complete the ritual and add the pet to their collections.
