According to Esports Insider, LGD Gaming's prodigy Santiago 'TaiLung' Agüero Gustavo has been banned from The International 15 and all future PGL events for life due to suspected competitive integrity issues. The 17-year-old Peruvian's own team reportedly informed on him, leading to the ban.

Esports Insider reports that the ban has sent shockwaves to the community, particularly in South America. Filipe 'Astini' Ribeiro, a Brazilian Dota 2 coach, shared his thoughts on the matter, stating that the issue goes deeper than match-fixing in South America.

Astini, who has worked with numerous South American teams and players, including a stint with PARIVISION, claimed that he had barely interacted with TaiLung directly. However, he did share some information about TaiLung's past, citing a conversation with his friend CaioGordo about TaiLung's former in-game name 'Osito' and his association with Máximo 'Wits' Orozco.
