Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 remains on schedule for a November 19 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The publisher gave the update during its first-quarter briefing on August 7, which covered several of the company’s projects alongside its financial outlook for the year, GameSpot reported.
Chief executive Strauss Zelnick used the call to restate the company’s guidance, tying it directly to the game’s launch window.

A date that has already moved twice
Take-Two’s quarterly results have become a recurring flashpoint for delay speculation, and this one was no exception. Grand Theft Auto 6 was first pushed to May 2026, then rescheduled again to November. GameSpot notes that missed launch dates are not unusual across Rockstar Games’ history, and that a former Rockstar employee said recently he would not be surprised to see the game slip again by as much as six months.
Nothing in the briefing supports that. Zelnick described the quarter’s results as a reflection of the publisher’s portfolio and what he called disciplined execution across its labels, and the reiterated Fiscal 2027 guidance of $8 billion to $8.2 billion in net bookings is built on the November date holding.
The next look premieres on Netflix
Rockstar has not shown an extended look at the game in more than a year. That ends on August 27, when Netflix will host new Grand Theft Auto 6 footage exclusively for several hours before it appears anywhere else. GameSpot reports that placing the next trailer behind a subscription service has not gone down well with parts of the audience, who have criticised the decision since it was announced.
