Tarık "Tarik" Çelik has announced that he is stepping away from hosting Valorant watch parties, ending a multi-year run as one of the most recognisable co-stream voices in the Valorant Champions Tour. The Sentinels creator confirmed the decision in a post on X, Dot Esports reports.

His watch parties had become a fixture of major Valorant events, particularly the Champions Tour, and Riot Games regularly listed him among the official North American co-streamers for Valorant Champions. The broadcasts ran alongside Riot's own streams on Twitch and YouTube and frequently featured professional players as guests, with sessions alongside TenZ and JohnQT among the most closely followed.
The numbers behind the co-streams
Even against a lighter 2025 calendar, Tarik remained the most-watched Valorant streamer by audience engagement. StreamsCharts placed him first for 2025 with 25.6 million hours watched across Twitch and YouTube, and Escharts recorded more than 2.2 million hours watched for his Valorant Champions 2025 coverage alone. In April 2025 Ben Affleck made a surprise appearance on a Tarik watch party during a Sentinels match as part of a promotion for The Accountant 2, which reportedly drew more than five million views across social platforms within days.
From Boston to Sentinels
Tarik arrived in Riot's shooter with an established competitive record. As a Counter-Strike professional he won the ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 with Cloud9 and was named MVP, part of the only North American team to win a Counter-Strike major. He retired from professional play in 2019 to stream full time and signed with Sentinels as a content creator in August 2022.
He has since won Best FPS Streamer at the Streamer Awards in 2021 and 2023, took a Streamy Award for Competitive Gamer in 2022, and was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2024. He has also organised and headlined events of his own, including the Ludwig x Tarik Invitational series in 2024 with $50,000 prize pools.
Tarik will continue as a content creator for Sentinels and ProCity VAL, and says he will return to gaming streams after a break. Only the watch parties are pausing.
