Team Liquid confirmed the signing of Adrián "Wisper" Dobles as its new Dota 2 offlaner, according to Esports.gg. The move came a few days after the two-time International champions announced that Ace was leaving the team, and it makes Wisper the first South American player to join Liquid's Dota 2 roster.
Wisper most recently played for HEROIC. Esports.gg reported that the signing ended rumors that had once again linked him to OG, and noted that it removes another experienced player from the pool available to organizations building rosters for the new season.
Wisper's record
The outlet described Wisper as one of the strongest position 3 players in South America, while noting that Ace holds the edge in career achievements. Wisper's results include a second-place finish at BLAST SLAM VII with LGD and a 3rd–4th place finish at BLAST SLAM IV with HEROIC. He also won FISSURE Universe Episode 7 with HEROIC, which beat MOUZ 3-1 in the grand final, and placed 5th–6th at The International 2025, a result Esports.gg called rare for a South American player.
His signature heroes include Batrider, Dark Seer and Mars, picks that depend on their ultimates to create space for the rest of the team.

According to Esports.gg, Team Liquid's roster for BLAST SLAM VIII is:
- Carry: Michael "miCKe" Vu
- Mid: Michał "Nisha" Jankowski
- Offlane: Adrián "Wisper" Dobles
- Soft support: Samuel "Boxi" Svahn
- Hard support: Erik "tOfu" Engel
William "Blitz" Lee remains the team's coach and described starting the season with Wisper as "super hype" in a post on X. Esports.gg also relayed unverified claims that Nisha has asked for a break from competition; the lineup the outlet published still lists him in the mid lane.
BLAST SLAM VIII is Team Liquid's first tournament since The International 15. Esports.gg reported that the event is scheduled to begin on September 29, 2026, with an online stage followed by playoffs held in Malta.
