The Race to World First, live on 1vX: every POV, the ladder, and four-stream watch parties

The Venomous Abyss race is on. Our new RWF hub carries the stage, a hand-verified POV board, the Raider.IO ladder — and multiview watch parties with four synced POVs, each with its own audio.

The Race to World First is the best spectator event in World of Warcraft, and it has always been a terrible spectator experience: seventeen Twitch tabs, a ladder on one site, a stream list on another, and the kill happening on the one POV you didn't have open. The Venomous Abyss race is live right now — and 1vX now has one page that carries all of it: the RWF hub.

One page, the whole race

The hub opens on a stage that always has the race on it — the highest-ranked guild with a POV actually broadcasting, picked by rule, with the why-line printed right above the player. Under it sits the POV board: every curated channel from Liquid, Echo and Method, grouped by org, each one verified by hand against the org tag in its live stream title. Classes fill in as the rosters are revealed — they are never guessed — so you can filter for the warlock POV or the healer seat you actually play.

Beside it, the mythic ladder — polled from Raider.IO every five minutes, with pull counts, best-pull percentages and last-kill times, and a guild page for every roster on it. When the standings move, the page moves. No screenshots of someone else's spreadsheet.

Four POVs, one room, everyone's audio

The reason we built any of this: multiview watch parties. Pick up to four POVs off the board, hit Start a watch party, and you land in a room with all four playing in sync — the raid leader's calls under a caster's commentary, because every tile has its own sound and you can unmute as many as you like. Swap any view onto the hero slot, flip to a grid, take it to theater or fullscreen, and drag friends in with an invite link. Voice and party chat ride along.

  • The stage — the race, on by default, picked live-first
  • The POV board — hand-verified channels, class-tagged as rosters reveal
  • The mythic ladder — Raider.IO, polled every five minutes
  • Multiview parties — four synced POVs, per-tile audio, voice and chat
  • The race thread — one thread per race, on the page and in the forums

The world first lands once

It will probably land at four in the morning on a Tuesday. Hit Follow the race on the hub and we tell you the moment it happens — that is the entire feature, and during a sixty-hour boss it is the one that matters.

The field is deep in mythic as this publishes, and the ladder on the hub is the live truth. Pull up a POV, start a party, and watch the wall break.
