Throne and Liberty's 4.7.0 update reworks party tools and housing

Amazon's August 13 patch adds ready checks, buffed co-op rewards and six-home ownership, a day after the publisher handed the MMO back to NCsoft.

Amazon rolled out Throne and Liberty’s 4.7.0 update on the morning of August 13, a patch built around party play, according to MassivelyOP. It landed a day after the news that Amazon is handing global publishing rights for the MMO back to developer NCsoft.

MassivelyOP frames 4.7.0 as patch day for a playerbase that had spent the previous day absorbing the publishing news. The update splits across three areas — party play, housing and weapon balance — with the first given as its focus.

Party tools and co-op rewards

Player groups gain a set of coordination tools in the update: ready checks and countdowns, map icon sharing, and a new party notification channel. Alongside those, the studios have buffed co-op rewards and boss drops, and added new post-wipe buffs for groups that go down together.

Amazon has also folded in a batch of NCsoft quality-of-life work. That covers search and sorting, better-organised inventory categories and tabs, improved quick storage, and quality-of-life changes for the mirror boutique.

Housing opens up to six homes

Housing takes the other half of the patch. Players can now visit other players’ houses at random where the owner’s permissions allow it, and can own a total of six homes without the achievement requirements the game previously attached to them.

The update also adds extra-large homes, new furniture and a set of housing achievements. MassivelyOP describes the accompanying weapon balance pass as a respectable list, with close to every weapon touched at least a little.

The timing is the part players are most likely to read into. Amazon confirmed the day before the patch that it is returning global publishing duties for Throne and Liberty to NCsoft, so 4.7.0 arrives as one of the last content drops shipped under the current arrangement. Neither the patch notes nor Amazon’s publishing announcement set out what happens to the update cadence after the handover.
