Transport Fever 3 pulls into Steam, Epic and GOG on September 29

Urban Games dated the transport management sequel at Gamescom and opened preorders on three editions, with a 10% loyalty discount for Transport Fever 2 owners.

Urban Games has confirmed that Transport Fever 3 will release on September 29, 2026. The developer announced the date at Gamescom and opened preorders on PC across Steam, the Epic Games Store and GOG.

The sequel arrives more than five years after Transport Fever 2, and the studio has framed it as a refinement of that game rather than a departure from it. Players again build and run a transport network across eras, with new maps, new and updated vehicles, and finer control over how people and materials move.

Changes confirmed over the previous game include improved graphical fidelity, an adjustable day-night cycle, modular railway stations, and precise control over road lanes and traffic-light timing for managing congestion.

Transport Fever 2 has been one of the most popular games of its kind for building and managing a transport network down to fine detail, and Urban Games said at Gamescom that the third game is nearly ready to be in players' hands.

Mods on day one

Modding remains central. Urban Games is running a new curated mods programme and has been inviting modders to build for the sequel ahead of launch, so that mods are available through the programme from day one.

Editions and pricing

The standard edition is $49.99. A Deluxe edition at $64.99 adds 11 further transport icons — among them the Concorde supersonic passenger jet and London's red double-decker bus — plus the Taj Mahal and the Eiffel Tower as landmarks. A limited-volume Collector's edition at $119.99 ships physically with a Deluxe edition key, a hardcover book covering the game's vehicles, a transport-themed card game, a statue and stickers.

Standard edition preorders come with three bonus assets: a replica of the TS Queen Mary turbine steamer, the Great Pyramid of Giza, and an Asian elephant that appears in some of the game's biomes. Players who already own Transport Fever 2 on the same storefront get a 10% loyalty discount on every edition.
