Riot Games shipped Valorant patch 13.01 on July 14, 2026, headlined by a targeted nerf to the Outlaw sniper's second shot and a new backend push to catch players who manipulate their competitive rank. The update also touches two agents, clears out a batch of bugs, and confirms that a Discord integration will roll out to all players on July 21.
Outlaw Loses Some of Its Follow-Up Punch
The patch targets the Outlaw specifically on the shot that comes after its first bolt. Recovery time following that initial shot rises from 0.1 to 0.15, while spread and recoil on the follow-up now sit at 2.25 and 4.0, respectively, up from zero on both. Previously, a player could fire, reacquire, and fire again with almost no accuracy penalty; the changes make that second shot noticeably harder to land cleanly.
Riot Expands Rank Manipulation Detection
Alongside the combat tuning, Riot is rolling out new detection tools aimed at rank manipulation, extending work it previously applied to League of Legends. Confirmed offenders can now face account suspensions, have their rank reverted, and lose any rewards tied to that inflated rank. Riot is also adding feedback for the players who report or otherwise flag manipulators, notifying them when a report they were involved in results in a penalty.
Agent Adjustments: Iso and Yoru
Two agents received smaller quality-of-life and utility changes. Iso's Double Tap now swaps to the player's weapon instantly once it's unequipped. Yoru sees two changes: Gatecrash's active beacon now stays live for 20 seconds, up from 15, and his Fakeout decoys now carry whatever weapon he last had equipped rather than defaulting to his strongest weapon.
Bug Fixes Across the Roster and Split
Patch 13.01 also carries a wide set of bug fixes touching Astra, Clove, Cypher, Deadlock, Gekko, Jett, KAY/O, Killjoy, Neon, Reyna, Sage, Skye, and Viper, alongside fixes to the Split map. Riot framed the batch as general cleanup rather than balance-driven adjustments.
Discord Integration Set for July 21
Separate from the gameplay changes, Riot confirmed a Discord integration for Valorant is rolling out globally starting July 21, a week after 13.01 goes live. Between the Outlaw adjustment and the new rank manipulation penalties, patch 13.01 leans more toward system integrity than a sweeping balance pass. The Iso and Yoru tweaks give both agents small but tangible upgrades, while the wider bug-fix list and the coming Discord integration round out the update.
