Wizards of the Coast has announced Secret Lair Commander Deck: Hatsune Miku, a ready-to-play 100-card Commander precon built around the virtual vocalist, IGN reports. The deck uses a Green-White colour identity and goes on sale on August 10.
A new Hatsune Miku Secret Lair had been rumoured for some time. The character has appeared in Secret Lair drops before, but this release is a full preconstructed Commander deck rather than a card-only drop, and it lands while Magic is also preparing a return to Middle-earth and a Final Frontier set.
What is in the deck
- 12 foil borderless cards with new artwork
- 7 Plains and 7 Forests in foil, with full-art treatments
- 74 non-foil reprints
- 10 non-foil double-sided tokens
- A display Commander card for Trostani, plus a deck box
Wizards says the new artwork comes from KEI, HASSAN and Naoki Saito. Reprints named in the announcement include Archangel of Thune, Aetherflux Reservoir and Voice of the Blessed.
A 24-hour ordering window
The purchasing process is the part Wizards has changed. Earlier this year, the Goblin Storm Commander Deck sold out within minutes of launch, leaving collectors queueing while eBay listings climbed. For this release, Secret Lair is running a fixed ordering window instead of a first-come stock drop.
Orders placed between Monday, August 10, 2026, at 9 a.m. PT and Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 8:59 a.m. PT will be fulfilled.
Some of those orders will ship straight away. Others are scheduled for May 2027 in North America and June 2027 in the EU and UK, according to the announcement, so buyers in the second group face a wait of close to a year.
Secret Lair Commander Deck: Hatsune Miku will be sold exclusively through the Secret Lair storefront from August 10 at 9 a.m. PT, priced at $149.99.
