The third Looking for Raid wing of World of Warcraft’s Midnight Season 2 opened in the week of September 2, making The Serpent Warren available on LFR difficulty, Wowhead reported at the time.
The wing is a short one. It contains two bosses, the Lost Explorers and Sszorak, and both of them drop tier tokens: shoulder tokens from the Lost Explorers and leg tokens from Sszorak, in each of the four armour types.
That combination is what made the wing worth a run for set bonuses. A second Catalyst charge was given to every player by default that week, so a player who took one tier piece out of The Serpent Warren and held a Mythic+ rating of at least 2,000 could put together and equip a four-piece set.
Two other drops stand out. Gebbo’s Bottomless Bag, a trinket Wowhead describes as popular, comes from this wing, as does a ranged gun, Gebbo’s Backup Blaster. Both are fast upgrades for players who need one, though a crafted weapon will still beat the LFR version of the gun.
The tokens are split by armour type on both bosses. The Lost Explorers drop the Venomwoven, Venomcured, Venomcast and Venomforged Remnants, covering cloth, leather, mail and plate shoulders, while Sszorak drops the matching set of Relics for legs.
The rest of the wing’s loot covers most slots. The Lost Explorers drop:

- Unpossessed Skullsash (leather waist)
- Boots of the Reckless Wayfarer (mail feet)
- Shellbound Bracers (plate wrist)
- Malevolent Spiritcudgel (one-handed mace)
- Venom-Slashed Scuteward (shield)
- First Mate's Shellward (tank trinket)
Sszorak’s table adds a warglaive and two more trinkets:
- Caustic Chain-Wrapped Sash (cloth waist)
- Ruthless Slaughtergrips (leather hands)
- Ferocious Scaleboots (mail feet)
- Venomous Boneglaive (one-handed warglaive)
- Slithering Savage's Gavel (one-handed mace)
