Xbox Game Pass adds ten games in its second August wave, led by Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

Microsoft has revealed the second wave of August 2026 additions to Xbox Game Pass, GameSpot reports: ten games arriving between August 18 and September 1, three of them new releases going straight into Game Pass Ultimate.

Vapor World: Over the Mind arrives on August 19 through the Game Preview program, described as a narrative-driven souls-like platformer built around deflection combat. Blood Dungeon, a 2D platformer from the creators of Nidhogg, follows on August 25, and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, a significant departure from the previous Plague Tale games, lands on August 27. All three are Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass titles.

Six more for the Premium tier

The rest of the wave expands Game Pass Premium, the tier below Ultimate. Egging On, a game about guiding a delicate egg through perilous levels, opened the run on August 18, and five more follow through the rest of the month. Each of the six also joins Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on the same day it reaches Premium, so the Premium listing is an addition to the higher tiers rather than an exclusive.

• August 25 - Aerial Knight's DropShot (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, Handheld, PC), Premium plus Ultimate and PC Game Pass
• August 25 - Blood Dungeon (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PC), Ultimate and PC Game Pass
• August 27 - Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, Handheld, PC), Ultimate and PC Game Pass
• August 31 - Young Suns (Cloud, Console, PC), Premium plus Ultimate and PC Game Pass
• September 1 - Shelldiver (Cloud, Console, PC), Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass

One title straddles the month. Shelldiver arrives on September 1 for Cloud, Console and PC, and is listed for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass at the same time rather than reaching one tier ahead of the others.

What leaves

The additions come alongside departures. Game Pass loses four games on August 31, headed by CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, and Microsoft has confirmed that NBA 2K26 will exit the service on September 6.
