Battlefield Studios has removed Rush mode from Battlefield 6, according to GameSpot. The mode, along with King of the Hill and Team Deathmatch, was removed from playlists following a minor patch update on August 4. The modes are still available in the game's Portal custom games.
The removal of Rush mode has not been well-received by the game's community, with players expressing their disappointment on the game's forums and Reddit, as reported by GameSpot. One player even requested and received a refund for the game on Steam, citing the removal of the mode as the reason.
Battlefield Studios, you don't get to remove the game modes I play and still keep my money
Battlefield Studios has acknowledged the community's reaction and stated that it is exploring ways to bring back the removed modes, including Rush, according to GameSpot. The developer said it recognizes that some of the removed modes are 'community favorites, regardless of how often they're played' and is closely monitoring the impact of the playlist changes.
The removal of Rush mode comes as Battlefield 6's naval-combat themed Season 4 is currently underway, with the return of Wake Island and a Top Gun crossover scheduled to arrive on August 18, as reported by GameSpot.
