Nexon has announced that MapleStory Fest 2026 will be held on Saturday, October 17 at The Hill at Universal City in Los Angeles, according to a report from MassivelyOP. The date makes the MMORPG one of a small number of long-running online games that still stages a dedicated in-person event for its players.
The annual event brings together MapleStory players, creators, and developers for a day of community activities, game updates, and special announcements from the teams behind the franchise.
A theater-style format
The main change this year is structural. Nexon said the 2026 edition introduces a theater-style format in which a single ticket carries a reserved seat for the day's main program, rather than the open floor arrangement the event has used previously.
The live show is set to carry updates from the MapleStory development team, musical performances, and the debut of the first Maple Music Video Contest, alongside other on-stage programming Nexon has not yet detailed. Ticket holders will also be eligible to pre-order event merchandise ahead of the show itself.
Tickets went on sale at 5 p.m. EDT on Thursday, August 13, which has now passed. Nexon has not said publicly whether seats remain, and with the theater format capping the room at a fixed number of reserved places, availability is a harder question than it was under the previous arrangement.
Details on the Maple Music Video Contest itself are thin. Nexon's statement confirms that the contest debuts at the show and that its results form part of the on-stage program, but the announcement carries no entry rules, submission window or eligibility terms, and MassivelyOP's report does not add any.
The announcement likewise gives no indication of what the special announcements at the show will cover. MapleStory Fest has historically been where Nexon lays out the game's next stretch of content, which makes the October date the more useful thing on the calendar for players who are not travelling to Los Angeles.
