According to Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, Pokémon Pokopia has sold more than five million units globally, as reported by Eurogamer. This number includes both physical and digital editions of the game and is considered impressive given the game's release was only four months prior. Eurogamer notes that this sales figure is significant, especially considering the Nintendo Switch 2 user base.
Eurogamer suggests that roughly one in four Nintendo Switch 2 users now owns a copy of Pokémon Pokopia, based on the console's sales of over 20 million units as of May 2026. The game's popularity establishes it as one of the most important titles on the system, with sales comparable to other notable games like Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which has a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 Edition with 3.99 million units sold.
As reported by Eurogamer, Pokémon Pokopia's sales on the Switch 2 are surpassed only by Mario Kart World, which has 15.39 million sales. This indicates that Pokémon Pokopia is a top-selling game on the console, and its recent sales may have been boosted by the first release from the Pokémon Pokopia series.
