According to IGN, Xbox has announced that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta will feature a single-player campaign mission for the first time. The company has long relied on beta tests to get early feedback and push pre-orders ahead of launch, but this year's beta is changing things up with early access to a single-player campaign mission called 'Entrenched'.
IGN reports that the Xbox CEO announced the move on X/Twitter, confirming that 'Entrenched' will be available starting next week, in addition to a host of multiplayer modes and maps, including a new Zodiac Warzone Resurgence map. A gameplay teaser for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 story mission was also published.
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 early access beta, which follows Call of Duty Next, will run from August 21 – 25, according to IGN. The beta will still have plenty to offer for those who prefer multiplayer.
