According to PCGamesN, the release date for Dawn of War 4 has been delayed. The game was originally slated for a September 17th release, but developers KING Art have confirmed that the launch date will now be pushed back to December 3rd. This decision was made to spend more time 'further refining' the experience ahead of launch, as reported by PCGamesN.
PCGamesN notes that the delay is not entirely unexpected, given that the previous installment in the series, Dawn of War 3, was released nearly a decade ago. The site had previously reviewed Dawn of War 3, giving it an 8/10 and calling it 'the most conventional RTS in a historically unconventional series'. PCGamesN reports that Dawn of War 4 looks set to continue the series' return to its traditional roots.
The delay has also led to an updated roadmap for future post-launch content, according to PCGamesN. The new December 3rd release date for the game is notably spaced out a few weeks from GTA 6's November 19th release. PCGamesN reports that Dawn of War 4 is already available for preorder on Steam, with preorders offering certain benefits before the game's new launch date.
